I feel like I say "I don't know" a lot. Whether if I don't know or don't want to be bothered i'll just say the phrase. I'm pretty sure I say it more than 50 times a day.

I strongly agree as well. I used to do it until I accidentally used a couple of words in my paper. I didn't proofread or anything so I had some points deducted. So now, whenever I type something I use proper English and words.

It's an interesting way to learn, that's for sure. You're going to need subtitles for sure tough. It's hard just listening to dialogue alone without words to help you out.

It's a hobby for me as well. I like learning new things, so learning a new language is a part of my lifestyle. It's not too bad of a hobby to be honest. It benefits you, unlike playing video games all day.

I'm going to have to say English as well. It's implemented in almost all parts of the world. It's really not too difficult to learn once you give it a try. I started learning when I was young, and it has stuck to me ever since.

I guess it varies on the person since all people learn differently. For me, I can't learn this way. Most of the foreign music I listen to I can't comprehend the lyrics fast enough, I have to think for a bit until I figure it out. I usually just listen to foreign music for the rhythms and beats. Hopefully once I truly master the language I will finally understand.

I started at a young age of around five years old. My parents first spoke to me in English so it would be my native language. After I learned a substantial part of it, they started speaking to me in Tagalog. I eventually learned both and still remember to this day.

I try to implement it in my daily life. I'll use it in writing, speaking, or even listening. I can talk to other people who know the language, i'ill write things down in that language, or even listen to music in the language I just learned. Doing these things have helped me retain the information I have learned. I suggest you do the same.

Thanks for the tips. I remember my teacher always telling us not to say "es" when saying our names. It would drive her crazy for some reason. I'll admit I overuse "es" at times.

I honestly don't know a bit of sign language. I don't even know anybody that uses sign language. It would be cool to learn though.

I really enjoy learning on my own over learning through school because I can move at my own pace. I learned Spanish in school and I was always ahead of what the teacher was teaching beacause I would read and learn ahead on my own.

I do like learning in school a little because it is more motivating and I lack the will to learn on my own with my free time. If I had to do Spanish on my own and I didn't have a grade I would of been less motivated to actually learn it.

I totally agree with this 100%.

I always like being alone when doing things, especially learning a new languages. You don't have the distractions of a classroom and can learn at your own pace.

I find French a very romantic language as well. There's just something about the way the people say it. The accent maybe? You tell me.

This is a really good site for developing English speakers. Not only does it help you, but also people in hunger. Apparently I have been doing every question, but I had ad blocker on. Major fail for me.

I could have sworn that my algebra teacher in 8th grade was the spawn of the devil. She was so mean to the whole class, but really focused on me. I did nothing to offend her, and yet she always picks on me to do questions, etc. I passed the class with flying colors though.

They were useful before the digital age. Now that there's apps for your smartphones and devices, there's really no point in having an actual dictionary. They just take up space now. Digital dictionaries are more convenient too. You don't have to turn each and every page, all you have to do is type in the search bar.

I've seen multiple advertisements about it, and it looks quite shady. I remember in one ad it said. "Language professors hate him. Learn a new language in days!" I thought that the Pimsleur method was a scam from that day on. I'd honestly just use Rosetta Stone since i've heard some successful stories with it.

It's really difficult for me to hear the lyrics from foreign songs. I get stuck trying to figure out what the previous word was and the music just keeps going. When I do listen to foreign music I just listen for the rhythm and the beat.

I really like the word "leisure". It means free time. I certainly don't have too much of it. The word just rolls  off your tongue, and I find it fun to say for some reason. Call me weird then.

Thanks for the link. I checked it out and it looks very interesting. It's not one of those boring straight up texts that we always see. Instead, this has pictures and various colors that look appealing to our eyes. I'm definitely going to try this out.

I tried learning Mandarin, but it just didn't work out for me. From the whole overview it looked really difficult to learn. I ended up just giving up sad enough to say, hopefully I'll have the patience to learn it again.

I like using Google Translate for helping me understand languages I haven't even seen.  It's great to get a gist of what the text says, but not for a full translation.  I find it very helpful at times, it saved me a couple times, language-wise.

I have never heard of this app until today.  By the way your describing it, it looks like a very helpful app.  I'll be sure to download it and try it out. Thanks!

It's an interesting hobby to learn a fictional language. After watching the recent Star Trek movies, it has intrigued me to look at it.  By the looks of it, it seems like a difficult language to learn.  I bet speaking Klingon to others who know the language would be very fun.
