  1. My high school Spanish really inspired me to learn the Spanish language.  She had such a passion to teach us that it amazed me.  She was one of those teachers who care more about teaching rather than money aspect.  She took her time/resources to help us all individually.  I've never had a teacher like that ever since.

  2. My first Spanish lesson was in high school in Spanish 1.  Our teacher was born and raised in Mexico, but then moved here to the United States. I'm pretty sure she knew what she was talking about since she grew up learning the language.  She was always so passionate about teaching our class it prompted me to take Spanish 2 the following year.  It's too bad I don't even remember half the things she taught us.

  3. I took two years of Spanish classes at my high school. My Spanish classes didn't really focus on actually being able to speak fluently, we just buzzed through the material since we had deadlines to maintain.  I don't remember much since it was so long ago for me.  I think it's because I stopped learning and practicing after my second year.  If I just kept to it for all four years, i'm pretty sure I would have become fluent.

  4. I mainly have the mentality that learning this new language is going to help me out one day even though I don't realize it. I kept this mentality when learning Spanish and now i'm fluent.  Learning Spanish did indeed help me out one day.  I was walking around in an area where Spanish is spoken more than English.  I saw an old lady who needed medical attention and she only spoke Spanish.  I was able to help her and call an ambulance.
