  1. French sounds deeply romantic. I personally don't know any French, but it just sounds so sweet the way that french expressions roll off the tongue. It definitely has to do with the accent.
  2. Yes, of course. After all, we are all humans...and humans forget. One thing that i find helpful in retaining the foreign language i have learnt, is to watch TV programs that are in that foreign language. Movies and shows are created to be engaging, and in being engaged with the movie/show, you are actually being engaged with the language - and the accent of the language.
  3. I know that babble is an amazing software to use to learn languages such as Spanish, French, etc. I actually downloaded babble to my tablet and it's been real engaging, interactive, and fun. But i'm interested to know of any other free language learning software out there.
  4. I don't know if there's a general rule for making language learning fun. I know that we all have various things that motivate us to learn a new language; and for me, when i was learning Spanish in high school, it was the quizzes that made learning language fun. I looked forward to one quiz each week, and i was always getting no less than 90%. There are definitely some new programs that make language learning fun. Try babble. Go to the website and download the software.
  5. I've gone more than 9 months without verbal communication (crack a laugh). That was when i was in my mother's womb. Let me see now... I usually go for long hours each day without communicating with anyone. This is because i telecommute and everyone else is gone out of the house to their physical workplaces. But on a serious note, I've gone a whole 2 days or more without verbal communication. I was meditating.
