  1. I just contributed to your community with a like as well! I will try to spread the word about your forums, as I have a few friends interested in learning new languages as well.
  2. I love Duolingo because it is easy to use, has a pretty intuitive interface and is easy to pick up by beginners. It helps you with repetitive vocabulary and also has tests that check up on you. Also the fact that it has a mobile app as well is something really useful, as you can practice new languages on the go as you are traveling or whenever you have a few minutes of spare time.
  3. As soon as the kindergarten I think it's the best for kids to start learning new languages. At a younger age kids will be able to assimilate information way quicker than when they grow older. They have it easier to learn, and they can treat everything like a game and it will eventually become second nature. There are many cases of kids being born in different countries than their parents and thus being able to speak two languages fluently really soon. And if they study new languages at school/kindergarten they will be able to express themselves in even more languages. It's fantastic how the brain develops as a kid.
  4. I think they are somewhat similar. The way you learn mathematics is the same way you learn new languages, through lots of practice and memorization. That being said, I still hated learning most sciences such as chemistry, physics and biology, while I've always enjoyed learning maths and new languages in high school. I think that these two work your brain in the same manner. You need to both be able to reproduce information (formulas in mathematics, words in languages), and to be able to use them in a certain manner, to solve problems or to create sentences.
  5. Hey guys, I am a new member from Romania joining you all in a journey to greatness. I currently speak English and Romanian, but I am studying French as well these days. Hopefully I will get to learn a thing or two about other languages from you all.
