J G Hunter
I am an English monoglot who, although fascinated by language, has struggled thus far in learning another language.I have set myself a challenge to learn a set of six languages. My real hurdle is that I have trouble remembering the "alphabets" of non-Latin alphabet languages, and struggling to disconnect English pronunciation of letters in languages that do use a Latin alphabet. If I could get over this hurdle, I think I would be able to progress and that's what I'm hoping to find an answer to.

chesirecat136
My suggestion would be to put less focus on the alphabet until after you have mastered some of the pronunciation. That way you may have an easier time connecting sounds to the character.
