I saw that there were some people interested in learning Romanian and I thought it would be fun to start a "Word of the day" thread with Romanian words.

So, the first word:

floare - flori (plural)
flower - noun (feminine)

Am primit o floare.
I have received a flower.

Floarea mea este albastră.
My flower is blue.

Grădina este plină de flori.
The garden is full of flowers.

barcă - bărci (plural)
boat - noun (neutral)

O barcă plutește pe lac.
A boat float on the lake.

Barca mea este nouă.
My boat is new.

Bărcile pline cu pirați vin spre noi.
The boats filled with pirates are coming towards us.
