      1. Tyre is the American version of tire. It really annoys me that the Americans have a different way of spelling certain words.
      2. Welcome Amy Hope this site helps you as much as it's helped so many others
      3. Quite a few people are surprised when I say I can speak more than 2 languages, I think a lot of people are of the opinion that the English aren't willing to learn any new languages. Also, as English is quite a widely spoken language, quite a lot of English people think there's no need to learn one.
      4. My girlfriends mother is German and shouts/rants in German. It's quite scary when she is really angry!
      5. Depends for me, if its someone talking to a camera I quickly lose interest, but if the tutorial is interactive it keeps my attention & makes me want to return to learn more.
      6. I went on holiday for 2 weeks to the area, and fell inlove with the way they speak, so when I got home I decided to learn it. My inspiration to learn Latin started at school, It was either German, French or Latin and I chose Latin. I got a good qualification in it ( and once the lesson stopped at school I took it up in my own time. Took me around a year to learn properly.
      7. I find listening to the language a much easier way to learn, some people prefer to read and copy but for me, listening to it and then repeating it is always easier.
      8. "Because" is a tricky one for me, I always have to use the rhyme "Big Elephants Cant Always Use Small Exits" to remember it.
      9. Latin is turning out to be a nightmare! Got to stick at it though.
      10. Massively important. Always it really annoys me when people spell grammar like "grammer"
      11. I really like "te amo" (English translation : I love you) It's such a nice way to say it.
      12. "I need to get a belt, my trousers are loose" "I really don't want my favorite football team to lose today"
      13. I studied Latin while at school to a pretty basic level, now I want to learn some more.
      14. I learned Latin while in School, so about 15. I'm still not fluent in it but can use my skills to read Latin quotes. I work quite closely with a tattoo studio in my home town, I get paid £30 a tattoo to double check someones Latin tattoo before they get forever branded.
      15. Florence. Always makes me think of a "The Hills are alive with the sound of music" type situation in my head.
      16. I am from the Southwest of England, and have the worst accent ever. Seriously it's so awful. I've got a pretty deep voice so thankfully it masks it quite a lot however when I'm with my friends I often hear myself seeing local things and talking in the local accent.
      17. Really good too see such an active forum with everyone on it having a common interest/goal. My name's Chris, I am 22 years old and Fluent in English (Mother Tounge) Dutch & German. I'm currently learning Latin and Chinese Mandarin. Don't think I could have picked a worse 2 to learn! haha. Hopefully make some good friends on this site and help support others, as well as getting support from other people.
