  1. I would listen! Since my parents are both fluent in Spanish, I would ask them to repeat/show how to do so. With practice, I mastered it!
  2. Como tamales! Mi madre cocina tamales de Guatemala solo paramente Navidad.
  3. I'd say German because it's already a powerful/strong language!
  4. Speaking and writing are the hardest for me.I've always had a problem creating sentences. With reading, all I have to do is read already made sentences! Luckily my speaking is getting better;however, I still have an accent that I'm trying to work on.
  5. During my Spanish class today, a couple of kids who sit in front of me were talking about Spanish having to be the hardest language to learn. Do you agree, or is there another language you believe is more difficult to learn? I think it all depends on the person! Thoughts?
  6. I not only watch telenovelas to learn Spanish, but also because they are very entertaining! I learn by listening and watching, so telenovelas help! Like others were saying, it's good to watch telenovelas because they use "proper" Spanish and/or "slang" Spanish (which is good to know both).
  7. Once I can speak Spanish fluently, I'd love to speak to other Spanish speakers! Both my parents speak Spanish and I would love to talk to them without having to use "Spanglish." I'd also like to work in areas where you would need a translator.
  8. I learn by listening to others speak the language. Luckily I have my parents to listen to. However, if my parents aren't there, I like to listen to Spanish songs or watch movies in Spanish!
  9. Spanish is VERY useful in my daily life. Not only do my parents speak it, but so do many people in my town. Sometimes I would see elderly Hispanics that are having trouble understanding someone who is speaking English in the store. Since I know Spanish and English, I can help by translating!
  10. I love these jokes! Now I can tell my dad some jokes in Spanish instead of him doing so!
