  1. One simple sentence could have two different meanings depending on how you say it with the help of your intonation and feelings. Notice how the Spanish speakers tend to use a lot of hand gestures and facial expressions? The punctuation marks I think do the same function.
  2. I had been patient learning the conjugations and I just could not remember them all. I am only referring to the present tense and I think I got overwhelmed and gave up I need help as well. Are there tips or ways or apps or anything to make this easier for someone like me? I can only envy those people who are so good at conjugations. I am curious though. do you use all of the forms and is it really necessary to memorize them all? Spanish is too challenging for me and I need to learn it
  3. To the Spanish native speakers, does it really bother you if someone will use these pronounce incorrectly? Is it a big deal in your culture especially if the speaker who made the mistake is non native? Would you be more forgiving or that is just the way it should be and should be followed by all means?
  4. I am curious to know how many levels does the Spanish language has when it comes to being able to use it fluently both written and oral? At what level can you safely say that you can be on your own using the language with no help or guide? At what level are you now in?
  5. Is there really a faster way to learn a new language? In my hopeless quest I stumbled upon a video from TEDX explaining how this can be achieved quite easily. No matter how hard I try to listen to him I still can not comprehend if his assertion is doable. Do you guys have a better way to learn a new language? How do you deal with getting overwhelmed with the new lessons and the new things you need to learn? Are there people who are born to be good at it?
  6. I think the slight differences in spelling and the way these words are used and pronounced is due to the reason that the Philippines has a couple of dialects. Each region may have used a term slightly different from the other regions and that would explain it. It does not bother me at all as I tend to respect the fact that these people might have been used to saying things differently based on their location and preference.
  7. How long have you been using Language Zen? This is the first time I heard of it I might try to use it soon as I am now still using Duolingo. Duolingo is easier for me because I can skip the lengthy lessons from other sites that are not helping me at all. Would you know if LZ has complete modules for a student to learn everything needed to make him or her fluent with the language chosen? I am assuming they have language drills that are easier to follow somewhat similar to Duolingo?
  8. I think that Lena you are such an inspiration. Sometimes people get lazy to learn a new skill because they do not have the money or other means to pursue it. In your case you proved them wrong. From the looks of it you are a success on your own. I am certain that it did not take you over night to learn the English language but you spent a lot of time and effort. It is not easy learning a new language you see.
  9. At first I thought that if you know a language other than your mother tongue you will have an advantage over other people. But now I think learning a new language is an experience on its own. I may not have a direct benefit for now but I am sure I will enjoy learning. Who knows I might just visit another country in the future and being able to speak their language is somethings that is helpful and to be proud of
