  1. I can assure you if you have started dreaming in a language that you only recently learned, it means you have mastered that language.
  2. The best ways to learn a new language are : Getting your friends to start learning the language and then creating group session helps a lot. You must keep the process interesting and should not try and force a schedule on yourself. Just try different things and go with the flow.
  3. My native language is Urdu and I don't know if any of you have heard of it. But the best thing about it is it has this sing-y song-y tone to it and is called the language of poetry. I love my language.
  4. In my opinion If you leave a country of your origin after the first ten years of your life, then your mother language is so ingrained in your brain that it is not possible to forget. You might get a strange accent if you don't speak it for tears but you will always understand it.
  5. I think the fact that English in a language that is a fusion of many languages makes it easier for the English speakers to learn the language of English language's family i.e. German, French and Spanish.
  6. I am not planning this but I do wish that I will have the courage to fulfill my dream of learning Persian language.
  7. I think the tip about enjoying the key here. And when you want to enjoy learning a language I would suggest you learn your basic structure and get to the most delicious part of the language which is literature. Just read some quality books and you would have learned the language and enjoyed yourself too.
  8. I think learning a language is one of the harder things to learn. I would say that burdening young children with the task of learning 4-5 languages is not fair. Let them enjoy their childhood guys.
  9. Although I do love some of the scripts shared by others here. I specially like the Tibetan script shared above.
  10. I think Arabic script has this melodious flow to it that I really love. Would love to learn Arabic some day.
  11. Writing being the formal mode of communication remains the same across vast territories with the same languages. But speaking a language changes across territories in the form of accents.
  12. The more you read and write the more you start feeling natural while using a particular language. So practicing reading and writing is the best way to learn a language. You know that you have learnt a language when you start feeling natural reading or writing it.
  13. Students these days are made to focus on sciences so much that the creative window in their minds is closed permanently by the time they grow up into teenagers. School teachers must let the students hone their imaginations for them to keep the creative fire burning inside of them.
  14. Poor grammar is a sentence devoid of the standard structure, i.e. a broken sentence. Poor grammar is a cardinal sin while writing a sentence.
  15. The best way to learn a language is to learn to read first and then start reading literature of that language. The more you delve into the literature, the more you learn the language. Literature is the soul of any language.
