Does your library have a good foreign language book selection?

I mean books written in a foreign language, not books designed for language learning.  We have a good amount of Spanish language books in our city library, but I haven't seen much else outside of that.

My library has a pretty decent section for foreign languages, but I would not say it is a vast selection because it is not. Although there are excellent titles in my library.

I have yet to go to the library in my new neighborhood. My old neighborhood didn't have much in the way of foreign language books. The are didn't have many non native english speakers, so it wasn't necessary.

I moved to a small town and you raise an interesting issue.  Embarassed to say I have not visited the local library, but that sounds like a rather nostalgic outing and I will check and see if there is a foreign language section.  Wonder how many still visit libraries these days?  Guess I will find out.  Thanks for the post and idea.

Our local library is pretty good, but I never go there. If I need a book, I'll go to my university's library where I'll surely find what I need. Also, my department's library has only spanish and italian books, because of our specialization!

Sadly, our local library does not.  I am luck though in that there is a college not far from here.  Adults can have a library card for the University Library.  They have about any book you could want.
