lovemwaf Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 I have always rated a language by its sex appeal and i find that Spanish is one of those that you could be having a fight with your significant other in English, but once it goes into spanish........its all love. Anyone agree. Quote
Efrahinu19 Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 They don't call it a romance language for nothing. Actually the term "romance language" has a double meaning. The first is it's sex appeal and the other is that it come from Latin. Latin being a language from Italy and the capital of Italy being Rome. Rome and Romance are one in the same. Quote
pchoksi93 Posted November 8, 2013 Report Posted November 8, 2013 I completely agree, there is some sex appeal in the language for sure. And the above post makes a very interesting comment about how Rome and Romance translate (no pun intended) to a language of love. I found that really interesting! Quote

jbepp Posted November 10, 2013 Report Posted November 10, 2013 I agree 100%I've been reading Spanish and Latin American poetry recently and it really is a delight to read it. It sounds lovely. As expected of a Romance language. Quote
