Is It Possible, in Middle Age, To Become Proficient in a Language?

I don't think age plays a role on language learning unless you're a kid and then obviously it is much easier. Main factors for learning a language for me are the motivation and the intellectual capacity of the person, not age related.

I'd say it's entirely possible. It would surely be easier if you were younger and had less things to worry about and maybe your mind would be sharper, but I wouldn't say it makes that much of a difference. I think it just looks daunting at first, but once you get so used to knowing the language that it becomes second nature, you'd wonder how you lived through decades without it.

Anything is possible if you really put your mind to it. No matter what age you are, you can totally be proficient in any language that you will decide to learn. It's all up to your desire and persuasion to it.
