MichelleVL
Wow! This is a true mystery! I just finished looking at your link and this has to be the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. I don't know what language the message is written in, but it looks strangely familiar. It looks like writing I saw a few years back in a Discovery Channel Special, I think it was about the Celts but I'm not sure. Maybe if you reach out to Discovery they could help you out. The best of luck to you.
linguaholic
This kinda looks like Futhark to me.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Younger_Futharkhttps://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Futhark
rdg
Thaks for your comments. It would appear that the laguage is an invented welsh language. A fuller answer is on the Society web page:Inscription at Netherthong, HolmfirthA full translation will be provided in a future issue of the Scoiety Journal, prbably Jan 2016.RegardsRoger
czarina84
That is very interesting. I can't wait to see the full translation. I have never seen anything quite like that.
takibari
Wow, very interesting. While I don't know what language that was, I sure appreciate that because of this thread, I've learned a new thing: Futhark. It was a very interesting read.
