Do you have words for "yes" and "no" in your language?

I noticed that your native tongue is Swahili, would you mind if I ask where you're from? I have family members from Kenya and I've heard them say something that sounds like a-pa-na for the word 'no'. I'm not sure if I am mishearing them or if it is only used for specific occasions.

Spanish is Si for yes and No for no, French is Oui for yes Non for no. Hope this helps.

In Yiddish Yo means yes and Neyn means no.  Zikher means definitely, Avade means certainly, Nisht means not, Mistome means probably, and Efsher means maybe.
