linguaholic
Study German HomepagesAs a german native speaker, I would suggest you the following homepages :www.duolingo.com ( actually offer great stuff for many languages).http://www.bbc.co.uk/languages/german/http://www.goethe.de/ (homepage of the world-famous goethe institute)http://www.surfmusik.de/ ( stream many different german radio channels online and free)There must be many others...however, as I researched on this a couple of days ago I was surprised to see that there are apparently not so many good homepages that are offering quality content for learners of German :frozen:Maybe I should create a new "Study German" homepage :=))
Raivyn
Thanks for the links! I've been looking for reputable sites to further my study. I'll be sure to bookmark these for the future
Guest Ames
Thanks for this! I've been struggling a bit with learning more than pleasantries and ordering at restaurants - which I'd like to say I think I do pretty well. I'll go check these out and maybe my German neighbors and community members will stop taking pity on me and just speaking English. I can't stand not knowing the language while I live in this country! It seems so rude to assume that they should speak my language just because I'm an American.

evapfromm
Thank you for the recommendations. I am always looking for new ways to improve how well I can write in German. If you are looking for a good translation website, I also recommend www.leo.org. It's what we used in High School to accurately translate words, and it has always worked well for me.
