Francisco23
I really dream of becoming a linguist, but thus far i only know three languages (including my native language). I always wonder about individuals who have learned up 8 or more languages; i wonder how on earth they do it. Is there anyone out there who can tell me how i can achieve this just as you have done, or just as how you know someone who has done it? mareebaybay
Learning multiple languages is also something I want to pursue in life. Being bilingual is apart of my list of to do's before I die. It would be a awesome feat to reach.
kitkat0124
I also want to learn more languages. Learning different languages is very helpful. I want to learn 2 or 3 more in the future. I'm on my third language at the moment. Looking forward for more.
Sarah676
I think a lot of the people who know multiple languages have had the advantage of growing up in a bilingual home. I have a friend who grew up in America with a Japanese mother and Polish father, so she grew up speaking 3 languages. That's a pretty big head start! kenthoang28
As my dream when I was young, I really want to be able to speak at least two languages ( not included my first language as Vietnamese). I did study English for couple years , now I'm starting to learn one more language which is Chinese. As my Chinese friends said, Mandarin and Cantonese are two types of Chinese language. Mandarin is using in mainland of China, otherwise Cantonese is using in Hongkong. Specially, when i learn Cantonese, I found that there are some words pronouced same as Vietnamese words and it gives me a motivation to study harder on Chinese language. Dame6089
I had a professor in college who was a linguist. To get to that level, you really just have to be focused on learning the languages every day. Take college courses, visit other countries, and just try to implement languages as much as you can into everyday life.

writeletters
Oh wow. Eight languages! That's a lot. I can speak 3 almost perfectly and am learning 2 more. I cannot imagine how anyone could be able to speak 8 languages, but apparently it is possible. I don't know anybody who can speak more languages than me.
