This is a good question and something I would be interested in too - how would I become a certified interpreter?

I'm sorry if i am not so good at it but how do i pronounce "Obicham"? I mean, the CH is like "Chest" or like a K?
Anyway i'm not sure what you mean, it depends on what you want to say to him/her i guess
Sorry - it's pronounced ch as in chest I'm not sure - I don't want to say I love but I want to say something more than I like you

I have to admit it took me about two years to be able to feel confident enough to swear and make remarks !! It took me about a year to hold a conversation properly. You are more than welcome here I even speak to my son in Bulgarian now more than I do English .

I'd love to find a job in say Italy, and be based somewhere remote-ish where the locals don't speak much English, which would force me into making more of an effort! There'd obviously be no room for shyness and all that. You definitely learn faster that way, whether or not you like it. Just out of interest, how long did it take you to feel confident speaking Bulgarian?

I'd also love to visit France again, I love the culture and the atmosphere and I think it's wonderful and I am sorry for the tragedy and the loss throughout the whole of France.

Yes in Bulgarian is Da and No is ne but we shake our heads back to front and also tut for no which is another thing I've not come across in other languages.

Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate the input and am going to use this next time I teach my students. I hope it brings good results.

Living in Bulgaria meant I learnt the language like a native and I am now bi-lingual. If it wasn't for he fact I had no choice but to learn purely because of survival I never would have learnt Bulgarian so yes it's helped.

Obicham te in Bulgarian It's the romantic way and also the way you'd say to your friends.
In Italian what would you say to a Romantic partner but not one that you want to declare your love for?

He can't be that good, I've never heard of him before but going to take a look now at the interview

I've fallen in love - now three times - first time he spoke a little English but we were children so it wasn't as significant. The second time I learnt his language - we raised a child together so did something right - third time - we spoke a mix of languages which we both knew - we are still trying to make it work It's hard and it's tough but love is worth it. Love has no barriers.

I'm a little confused as to what you are trying to ask as well. You can explain in explicit terms if need be so we can make the correct translation for you
-
Hi, nice to meet you, I speak English and Bulgaria, No Japanese and Chinese though but great to see you here, good luck with your learning skills If I can help regarding anything 'English' let me know.

I learnt French is school and actually forgot most of it until I went there for a holiday and started to pick it up again. Since then I have made an effort to try and use French just so I don't forget but I was only there two weeks so to say I improved on my language skills would be lying, I just remembered them that's all, however little it may be

Can someone show me the chinese characters for faith, hope and love please. I want to paint them on my wall but don't want to put something ridiculous on there

This post is actually getting hilarious now and I'm sitting here laughing my shoes off. It's weird how some people find some accents sexy where others cannot simply understand it.

I agree with that. Teaching a friend is informal and I don't know whether they would take it seriously enough to make use of it or forget it the next day. I love teaching people words I know and hoping one day it might be useful to them but I'm also very shy about my teaching skills and get embarrassed to correct them when they say it's wrong. I'd probably start laughing hilariously if they pronounced a clean word as a dirty word and then I wouldn't be able to tell them why, language problems, we all have them
-
OK this is mind boggling , how have you managed to fit all the words in the English language into 30 words? Is it correct though, can you express yourself correctly. This is something I'd love to learn and keep updated on. Strange concept and who actually created Kipi, was it you ?

You have just given me a great idea @pesic87
I must admit I have a pretty tiring schedule - working all day, every day. I have a one year old who never sleeps so trying to make it a formal learning procedure is difficult for me. But saying that you have given me a great idea, however limited my time, to make an effort in being more strict. Maybe stick a note on the fridge each day with something I have to learn.
-
Ah I'm loving this. OK so I get what you are saying even though I wouldn't know how to pronounce it, not sure how to answer. @Chiara Hey, I am good, and you? Where are you?
Io sto bene, Bulgaro...
Does that make sense or no, didn't use the translator this time hehe

Here in Bulgaria all womens names will end with a 'ya' or an 'a'. It's easy to define who you are talking too
I'd say the common ones are:
Georgi - ( shortened to ) Gosho
Alexandar - Sasho
Mariya
Irena
Ludmila
Rumen
It's a strange concept as original names aren't really used here - names by tradition are given and passed down through the generations so it repeats itself a lot and 99% of the time half of your friends have the same name as you.

I personally love using Skype, to learn and take classes and to also teach. Have you all noticed that the only lessons available over Skype are language courses...has anyone tried to take any other courses, writing skills, speaking skills or even offer classes that haven't been offered before. I am a qualified therapist and am thinking of starting my career this way rather than local.

Is Spanish spoken in South America any different to Spanish spoken in Spain, is there a difference at all? I'm trying to learn as will be going for a holiday soon but don't want to make an awful mistake
