Good thread. I never know some words it's true, I can write color or colour and both be right, isn't this correct? The thing is my spellchecker gives me colour as wrong, maybe it's an UK one?

I think it's pretty much as you said, voy a means "I'm going to (do something)" voy a ir implies some movement, it's going to someplace and only after that it will be done something. I think.

Portuguese it the 5th most spoken language in the world, as you said the most spoken in the southern hemisphere and the 3rd more spoken in the northern.

The thing is no big economy (apart from Brazil?...) speaks Portuguese so why would people learn it?

Mas ja viste a chatisse que é estar sempre a trocar a toda a hora? Eu faço a maior parte das coisas na internet em inglês, por isso é realmente inervante estar sempre a fazer alt+shift para mudar.

Bom, depende se queres escrever português correcto ou não, não dá assim tanto trabalho. Já agora, chatice (e não chatisse) e enervante (e não enervante).

I'd never be able to study two languages simultaneously if I wasn't at school, so well done to you for making it happen. For me I suppose it would get too confusing, but to be honest I never tried it.  :shy:

How does a Spanish language group works? You get together and practice the language?

Sim, com um teclado externo deixa de ser portátil. Mas os acentos também são só dois ou três, possivelmente até decoras o sitio deles sem os autocolantes.

My favorite Portuguese read was actually a translation and it was the Principezinho from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, amazing little book. Reading is actually great to improve our language skills, just find a topic we enjoy and there we go.
