  1. Multiple choice exams are always the easiest, all you have to do is process of elimination. There is always that one question that does not fit, along with the distraction question leaving you with two options. The last two you could just try to do process of elimination again or just go with your gut.
  2. My technique to memorizing words, is to just say them over and over again until they are in my head. I don't really know of any other ways to help yourself memorize words than using that type of method. It actually works though lol !
  3. When a website is in a language I don't know Google Translator usually handles that for me. It always seems to work, I think it is because I use Google Chrome all the time. However it always comes in handy whenever I need it.
  4. Well no one has ever told me that English was not important. However if someone was to ever tell me that, I would probably ask their reasoning behind saying something like that. I could see someone who does not speak English say something like that though.
  5. I learn as much about the cultural background as possible when I am learning a new langauge. You want to try and learn about the language's history before you try to learn at some degree. The more you know the better it will be for you.
  6. There are some langauges around that I could notice or recognize without actually knowing them. I see languages all the time that I have never spoken or rarely heard and can immediately tell you what they are. its kind of weird how that is, but it is just yourself remembering something you've seen but don't remember you've seen it.
  7. No I don't find people who speak more languages more attractive. However I do find some languages to be more attractive, such as French. I just consider French to be such a romantic language. It is very attractive language in woman.
  8. No I don't keep track of my vocabulary. I would find doing something like to be very difficult, I mean how exactly would I be able to keep complete track of my whole vocabulary.
  9. I mean it really comes down to the people in your group. I don't think it would be harder for me to learn a language in a group, but you can only speak for yourself. Everyone learns at different paces, some faster and some slower. You have to try and do what is best for yourself though.
  10. I tried learning language through music before, and it was kind of easier. If you start to remember lyrics and try to translate them at the same time you will start to see improvements in your language learning. It really does make things easier.
  11. Telepathy is not a kind of language in my opinion. I mean honestly telepathy does not even exist, so it is not even a language period. I understand where you are coming from but to answer your question it is not a language in my opinion.
  12. Yes I do consider sign language another language. For some reason I have always seen it like that. However for some people they would see it the complete opposite. It just depends on what you are accustomed to. Great question.
  13. I don't think there is a limit to how many languages you can learn. I think it is really depended on the person and how much they really want to learn and how difficult it will be for them.
  14. The best advice I have ever heard about learning a new language was sticking with it. Learning a new language can be very difficult. Especially at first, and I will never forget one of my teachers telling me to stick with it even when it is tough. It definitely helped me hearing that.
  15. I only speak two languages right now lol. However in the near future I hope to be speaking 3 languages. I want to learn French really badly, so it will most likely be next language I pursue.
  16. How long do you think it takes to become so good at a language you could hold a full conversation with someone who speaks that language as there native language?????
  17. I believe native speakers are very good at speaking their language. I mean they have been around it all their lives, so I would assume they are proficient at actually speaking there language. Just like talking about myself for example, it is pretty easy speaking English. I learn new things every now and then in school but I will always be good at speaking English.
  18. For me it is kind of hard remembering the alphabet in my second language being Spanish. It is sometimes difficult remembering and learning it all, because I am not use to it.
  19. I know a lot about stuff like this, when I was in school recently learning a foreign language I would always try to use a translator. They don't always spit the language back right. Sometimes it is not worded right and sometimes they don't translate past tense or future tense.
  20. I don't think languages should be taught in that language, I mean how would we understand? However I think it should be incorporated into the lesson. I mean when I was in Highschool, I use to learn it in English but do a lot of worksheets in the langauge.
  21. I think I feel more intelligent when speaking another langauge, but I don't feel like a different person. I might feel like something has changed about me but I don't feel brand new or anything lol.
  22. I agree with drawing, especially since I am a great drawer. If I ever lost my ability to communicate I would most likely resort to drawing as well. It would be entertaining and I am sure it would help me communicate as well.
  23. I think the most popular reason to learn a new language, is to help you in some way. Whether it be trying to communicate with someone or if you are soon going to be traveling to a new country. I think learning a new language means beneficial factors for yourself.
  24. I wouldn't say that it means your intelligent. However I do think that knowing more than one language adds to your intelligence. I think knowing more than one language, is great for your mind and your body. It has tons of benefits for you.
  25. I agree about woman being the better talkers, but I would not go as far as saying they are better than men at learning languages. I don't think that the gender of the person really affects whether or not they will learn languages easier.
