What do you think about multiple choice tests/exams?
marmunmrhundun replied to linguaholic's topic in Language Learning
Multiple choice exams are always the easiest, all you have to do is process of elimination. There is always that one question that does not fit, along with the distraction question leaving you with two options. The last two you could just try to do process of elimination again or just go with your gut. -
Are there any techniques to help me memorize words?
marmunmrhundun replied to IssamH's topic in Language Learning
My technique to memorizing words, is to just say them over and over again until they are in my head. I don't really know of any other ways to help yourself memorize words than using that type of method. It actually works though lol ! -
When A Website Is In A Language That You Don't Understand
marmunmrhundun replied to Lin's topic in Language Learning
When a website is in a language I don't know Google Translator usually handles that for me. It always seems to work, I think it is because I use Google Chrome all the time. However it always comes in handy whenever I need it. -
Cultural background while learning a language
marmunmrhundun replied to Sness's topic in Language Learning
I learn as much about the cultural background as possible when I am learning a new langauge. You want to try and learn about the language's history before you try to learn at some degree. The more you know the better it will be for you. -
Recognizing languages without knowing them
marmunmrhundun replied to Qamra's topic in Language Learning
There are some langauges around that I could notice or recognize without actually knowing them. I see languages all the time that I have never spoken or rarely heard and can immediately tell you what they are. its kind of weird how that is, but it is just yourself remembering something you've seen but don't remember you've seen it. -
Do you find people who speak more languages more attractive?
marmunmrhundun replied to Thrix's topic in Language Learning
No I don't find people who speak more languages more attractive. However I do find some languages to be more attractive, such as French. I just consider French to be such a romantic language. It is very attractive language in woman. -
Do you keep track of how large your vocabulary is?
marmunmrhundun replied to Hedonologist's topic in Language Learning
No I don't keep track of my vocabulary. I would find doing something like to be very difficult, I mean how exactly would I be able to keep complete track of my whole vocabulary. -
Learning languages in groups takes longer?
marmunmrhundun replied to Denis Hard's topic in Language Learning
I mean it really comes down to the people in your group. I don't think it would be harder for me to learn a language in a group, but you can only speak for yourself. Everyone learns at different paces, some faster and some slower. You have to try and do what is best for yourself though. -
I tried learning language through music before, and it was kind of easier. If you start to remember lyrics and try to translate them at the same time you will start to see improvements in your language learning. It really does make things easier.

Is Telepathy some kind of language?
marmunmrhundun replied to Denis Hard's topic in Language Learning
Telepathy is not a kind of language in my opinion. I mean honestly telepathy does not even exist, so it is not even a language period. I understand where you are coming from but to answer your question it is not a language in my opinion. -
Do you consider sign language another language?
marmunmrhundun replied to TABL's topic in Language Learning
Yes I do consider sign language another language. For some reason I have always seen it like that. However for some people they would see it the complete opposite. It just depends on what you are accustomed to. Great question. -
I don't think there is a limit to how many languages you can learn. I think it is really depended on the person and how much they really want to learn and how difficult it will be for them.

How many languages do you speak?
marmunmrhundun replied to wholesaleblogger's topic in Language Learning
I only speak two languages right now lol. However in the near future I hope to be speaking 3 languages. I want to learn French really badly, so it will most likely be next language I pursue. -
Are Native speakers really that good at their language?
marmunmrhundun replied to Denis Hard's topic in Language Learning
I believe native speakers are very good at speaking their language. I mean they have been around it all their lives, so I would assume they are proficient at actually speaking there language. Just like talking about myself for example, it is pretty easy speaking English. I learn new things every now and then in school but I will always be good at speaking English. -
Google Translate: Why It's No Match for Learning A Language
marmunmrhundun replied to True2marie's topic in Language Learning
I know a lot about stuff like this, when I was in school recently learning a foreign language I would always try to use a translator. They don't always spit the language back right. Sometimes it is not worded right and sometimes they don't translate past tense or future tense. -
Should languages be taught in that language?
marmunmrhundun replied to Bob's topic in Language Learning
I don't think languages should be taught in that language, I mean how would we understand? However I think it should be incorporated into the lesson. I mean when I was in Highschool, I use to learn it in English but do a lot of worksheets in the langauge. -
Have You Ever Thought About Going Dumb?
marmunmrhundun replied to Humbleman's topic in Language Learning
I agree with drawing, especially since I am a great drawer. If I ever lost my ability to communicate I would most likely resort to drawing as well. It would be entertaining and I am sure it would help me communicate as well. -
Most Popular Reasons To Learn a Language?
marmunmrhundun replied to JoanMcWench's topic in Language Learning
I think the most popular reason to learn a new language, is to help you in some way. Whether it be trying to communicate with someone or if you are soon going to be traveling to a new country. I think learning a new language means beneficial factors for yourself. -
Do women learn languages faster than men?
marmunmrhundun replied to Denis Hard's topic in Language Learning
I agree about woman being the better talkers, but I would not go as far as saying they are better than men at learning languages. I don't think that the gender of the person really affects whether or not they will learn languages easier.
