  1. French in definitely the sexiest language for a woman to have in my opinion. There are other sexy languages, but French has to be my favorite.
  2. My fascination with learning a second language, is what motivated me to study the language I was trying to learn. It made me want to try that much harder to learn that language, knowing it would help me in the long run. That is what motivated me to learn the most.
  3. I won't say that I tense up, but I do however think a lot when I am speaking in my second language. It is hard, because you never know what you may say or how it may come out. You always want to be right and when speaking my second language, I sometimes don't know if I will be right or not.
  4. I am not very accustomed with learning with gaming, but I can see how it would be effective. I mean who hasn't played video games growing up. Everyone I know has played a game at some point in their life. I also know that no one really dislikes playing video games either.
  5. I love my native language as well, and to answer your question I am completely confident and comfortable writing in my native language. To be honest I never really had any problems with writing in my native language, even when growing up I was always pretty good.
  6. No, I have never tried that, but it does sound interesting, definitely something I would love trying in the future.
  7. I am one of those learners that learn best by actually doing the thing you are trying to learn. Like I know tons of people who learn certain ways, but I learn best by actually doing that something, which makes it much easier for me.
  8. I like how entertaining language learning videos can be. I love how you can watch a learning video on Youtube and learn so much from it and be entertained by it at the same time. That is one of the reasons I like language learning videos so much.
  9. I think you can learn to speak a language by listening to a movies dialogue. Especially if you have on the subtitles, it would be easier for you too do so. I watch anime as well, which helps me learn a little bit of Japanese every time I watch a Anime.
  10. I too love to study at my house. It just seems like I can't get anything right if I am not at home, I will be so distracted any where else. I also like to study in a area where I will not be bothered, that is why I like to study at home.
  11. I have never met someone who could speak multiple languages personally. I have always wanted too though, I just have never been lucky enough to meet that someone. I hope somewhere along the road I do though. I am pretty sure they would be intelligent as well. It would definitely be excited to meet someone like that.
  12. I have never dreamed in my second language, ever. I don't see how I would be able to dream in my second language honestly. I mean its not like I think in that language, and I know dreams are related to the things that you think about. I know for a fact, I don't think in my second language.
  13. Sometimes I think about the way life would be if we did not have any languages. It would be very difficult to communicate which would be the biggest part about that change. I mean we would practically have no way of communicated which would not benefit anyone on this planet.
  14. I was about 12 when I first started learning a new language. It was definitely when I was in Middle School I will never forget those days. It wasn't near as hard as it is now to learn different languages.
  15. I could see why someone who loves reading would have better success with learning a new language than someone who can't stand reading. Personally I am a fan of reading for the most part, especially when I have free time.
  16. Its amazing when there is someone you know that knows more than one language. This is a very interesting forum too me. It really makes you think about how many people there are out there who know more than one language. Excellent thread.
  17. There are a lot of words that roll off my tongue naturally. Its crazy because I can't even think of any at the moment, but I am almost 99% sure I have tons of them in my current vocabulary.
  18. TV is a great TV influence, because there are so many people that watch TV. I watch TV about 6 hours a day at least, and I know for some people it may be more depending on their schedules. TV will always be a great influence to many things.
  19. I have not learned not tried to learn a new language in years. I have been a little to busy to even attempt to learn a new language. However if I had a little more free time to myself I would be learning nonstop.
  20. I like the Kindle, I knew a couple of people who actually owned one, and they are pretty cool. I probably would not purchase one myself as a first purchase but they are very good tablets.
  21. No I don't have a pen pal , however when I was in Highschool I had one. It was one of the best experiences of my whole language learning process. It was shortlived though, because it only lasted a month. It was one of those special one time only things, to get us acquainted with them and tried to learn as much as we could in the little time period.
  22. I live in my native country so that does not require me to do so, at all. However it does help living in your native speaking country especially in the long run.
  23. Making learning a language fun, is when you have good reason to be learning a new language. It is always fun when you have a reason to do anything. Another thing that makes learning a new language fun is when you are learning that language with someone. When you have someone helping you, it adds that much more entertainment to the equation.
  24. Very interesting question, I will never forget my Spanish teacher telling use that are minds need to be able to think in Spanish. Howvever for me personally, I think in English. I can't see myself speaking in another language other than English.
  25. Well for me it is kind of easy seeing as how I am around people who speak my native language all the time. I practically spend every day of my life around someone who also speaks English. Matter fact I am around people who speak English fluently.
