  1. I haven't heard this from anyone else. Probably because all of the people in my country are xenocentric or they prefer other culture rather than ours. They all have a colonial mentality mindset! Who could blame them? Our country and government officials are so corrupt that they don't care whether they steal the people's money. As long as they become rich infamous thieves who deserve to rot in jail.

  2. In my case. Multiple choice exams given to us are very difficult. It's because everything seems correct and is rather correct, you just have to find the best answer. This is totally awful and unfair since who gets to dictate the best answer? The professor/instructor! So anything he/she says goes and that is really an awful thing for us students who studied long and hard for examinations and we get this.

  3. Yes. You have to dig deep into the cultural background of a country or a place where you are trying to learn the language, try to mingle with someone who knows how to speak English or any language that you both understand and try to let him explain to you what the origins of their language are. Thus you would be better understanding of how and why they use such language to communicate with other people and it would be easier to learn it.

  4. Yes. According to the BIBLE (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth), the tower of Babel was the sole reason for the separation and the distinction of languages. Before we had one language but since people were getting all high and mighty and want to be god of themselves, God separated and disrupted the single language into many languages in order for them not to understand each other. Today we are on the verge of another tower of Babel scenario and I think this time its going to be judgment.

  5. I speak four languages. English, Filipino, Ilocano, Ifontok although I can't speak fluent Ifontok, I understand it well which is still a mystery since I never grew up in our province. We have different languages in the Philippines which is also a blessing and a curse in some ways because people cannot understand each other well but sometimes is a good thing.

  6. I believe I saw someone although not sure if it's real using an electronic device which enables the mute to convey their messages through a speaker which is a programmed computer and a programmed voice? Yes. I believe we have ways for the mute to speak but I think it is an expensive contraption and not really for the masses.

  7. Both. Since some words have different meanings in different context, studying words could be a good thing to do to differentiate one from the other. On the other hand, learning phrases would pretty much give you a glimpse and further help you in making complete sentences in the language that you are trying to learn.
