Recruiters prioritize your performance in what is relevant to the position.

So, add your overall 3.4 GPA score alongside your 3.5 and higher Major GPA, and they won’t think negatively about it.

If you are still a student or recently graduated, you most probably do not have much work experience to fill your resume with.

You will have to talk about your academic achievements which include your GPA.

When you are applying to entry-level positions, unless it is extremely competitive, they will not disregard you based on a 3.4 GPA.

So, add your 3.4 GPA because it still shows a good level of hard work and capability.

If the job description has a GPA restriction, then you must add your GPA, even if 3.4 is lower than the limit. 

Most of the times recruiters completely disregard resumes when they do not follow basic instructions in the job descriptions.

Yet they can still consider you with a lower GPA if you have other redeemable qualities.

If you had other awards or extracurricular activities that would paint you as a better candidate, prioritize those over your 3.4 GPA.

So, it is better to leave it out if it is not higher than 3.4.
