  2. If you are his teacher, you should be telling him right away about his pronunciation mistake. If he is wrong, he is wrong, but don;t be rude at all.

  4. I don;t think there is much you an do as far ass apps are concerned as you are a native speaker. Vocabulary.com is the only site I can recommend to you since it has a vast range of subtle English words you might want to learn.
  5. I have studied Punjabi for a bit. I am good at it when it comes to writing, but I still fumble a lot when I speak.
  6. Google Dictionary to the rescue for me as far a spelling goes. Being anon-native speaker, I can;t depend on my gut feeling to know of I spelled something right or wrong.
  7. Audio Books are just not my cup of tea. I prefer the traditional way to enhance my knowledge.
  8. I think any native speaker would be able to shed some light on that. I fr one prefer to use 'Although'.
  9. I would love to say French since this is the language I am learning right now, but I have to say that Chinese is the most important language to learn.
  10. Learning a language is never easy even if it means it's not your first language. It's always a pain.
  11. You should try watching English TV shows and movies with Headphones one. Make sure to have subtitles on if you can;t get what they are saying.
  12. It's kinda hard to fall in love with someone whom you don't meet quite as own as your own country people, right? I would admit that I haven't met with a lot of foreigners, but Jewish girls are really nice. You can see them everywhere in India.
  13. I love the British accent. I know that thee are a lot of accents in Britain, but they all resemble kind of a similarity which is really fascinating.
  14. I can write in Punjabi, Hindi as well as English. I wish I could say the same about French as well, but I am still a beginner.
  15. I find English the easiest to learn of them all. But its got something to do with fact that I was taught English since my childhood.
  16. I live in a country where you need to be proficient in English if you want a good job. You speak a word of your native language and you are not taken into consideration. I went for an interview in HCL. Before the interview, I was told by some of the people already working over there to not to speak Hindi at all.
  17. I a never in favor of imitating an accent as it looks fake for obvious reasons. But if you are adamant on learning an accent, you should watch movies and TV shows of that accent.
  18. Getting used to it takes a lot of time. At first when I heard the words of English, it sounded like an alien language. I had no idea what was going on, but fast forward 10 years, I prefer watching English TV shows and movies than in my own language.
  19. I haven't gotten into any trouble up until now, but it's quite possible to get into one with ease even when you have mastered your second language.
  20. I am watching Doctor Who right now. It's a British show. If you notice, they pronounce certain words differently than i other accents. For example, Hello is pronounced more like helo.
  21. Never try to correct people in front of others. Just talk to them personally if they are wrong somewhere. They will appreciate the time you took to tell them about it.
  22. Yes, there is always a base point. You know that once you learn something, the base always remains there even if you don' practice often.
  23. I have been learning French for last couple of years now put of the need, but I planning to learn Swedish, Spanish and Italian someday. I know it's not an easy feat, but I have more than 50 years of my life ahead of me.
  24. I am pretty sure that you are going to find several words in other languages as well that sounds similar in English as well. I can tell you about some in Hindi. Words like Glass are pronounced same in both languages.
  25. I have found it difficult to understand and learn. I have seen Pewdiepie, a YouTube star, speaking in Swedish sometimes. Part of it is because I don't know much about this language.
