  1. You cn teach a kid really easily if he is less than 5 years old. He will become really proficient in any language you teach him or her. But after 5 years, he won't be able to speak it like the native ones speak.
  2. I have tried teaching basic English to kids in my own country. It doesn't pay tat well, but I found out that kids grab the basic concepts more easily than an illiterate adult. They are much easier to teach and guide.
  3. As someone already said above, we Asians are forced to go through this language as it's a necessary part of our lives. As far as stereotypes are concerned, most people think that English speakers are arrogant person. Most of the people her won't even interact with an American or Australian tourist. They avoid them.
  4. I would definitely love to learn Russian and Italian, but now is not the time as I am busy learning a couple of other languages at the same time. But Russian will always be on my radar.
  5. Have you been busy lately. If you are, then you won't be able to enjoy whatever you read. You should start by reading some thrilling novels by Stepehn King. I really love his novels. I am sure you are going to like them as well.
  6. Great tips for beginners whoa re still getting the hang off this language. I prefer to use "May I...............? It's simple and doesn't sound fancy.

  8. I have been focusing on learning English as well as French. The desire to learn English was never there to be honest. It's something you have to do from your childhood, but French is something that I wanted to learn as I started going to school. My brother is really good in French.
  9. Thanks for the link, but I have already been using it for a very long time. I have also using their mobile app which is kind of like a dictionary. It' really helping me out.
  10. I am from India with Hindi as my native language and I can tell you that most of the English Subtitles are not at all accurate. It's like the are trying to make fun of someone who doesn't understand Hindi.
  11. I like a lot of English songs, but the favorite ones are "Hey Jude" from The Beatles and some of the Backstreet Boys' songs.
  12. I don't think it's a scientific language. English, as we all know, is an international language. If you don' know how to speak or write English, you are in real trouble a you won't be able to communicate with people of other culture. So I would say it's more of n international language.
  13. I have managed to get this job because of my strong grip of English language. English is the second language here. If you won't learn it, you re not going to get good job.
  14. I would say evening is a great time for learning a language. I have never tries teaching anyone a new language, but if I would, it would be in evening.
  15. Well, I really can;t say which language I like the most, because there are so many languages that are in contention here. But if I have to chose one, I would go for French.
  16. I have gotten used to different American accents. They seems so normal to me. The Australian and British accents are kinda unique.
  17. The first sentence we learn here is Pitaji which stands for dad and Mataji which stands for mother.
  18. I would like to have a French speaking friend, but unfortunately none of them know even a word of it. A friend of mine knows some Spanish, but I am not interested in it.
  19. For me, the best motivator is someone who is already in the language you are struggling to learn. He is really good in French and Spanish.
  20. I am willing to spend as much as it takes to help me learn some French. To be honest, however, I haven t spent much aside from coaching fees and two bulky books in my room.
  21. I started trying to learn English when I was a little kid. At that time, English was not taught in classes here. But I decided to learn English myself with some help from my parents.
  22. I have been learning English since my childhood and now I can say that I am good enough to talk and write English. I will be as good as I am in Hindi, my native language. It's an ongoing process.

  24. I was making a coffee one morning when learning French kind of struck my mind. I thought, hang on, I can do this. Besides, my brother is also learning French. So he motivated me to learn as well.
  25. There are so many languages that I want to learn. First up in my list would probably be Chinese and thereafter I would go for Spanish. I find Russian and Italian languages to be really fascinating. So, if I can, I will try to learn them too. French is giving me a hard time for the time being.
