You cn teach a kid really easily if he is less than 5 years old. He will become really proficient in any language you teach him or her. But after 5 years, he won't be able to speak it like the native ones speak.

As someone already said above, we Asians are forced to go through this language as it's a necessary part of our lives. As far as stereotypes are concerned, most people think that English speakers are arrogant person. Most of the people her won't even interact with an American or Australian tourist. They avoid them.

Have you been busy lately. If you are, then you won't be able to enjoy whatever you read. You should start by reading some thrilling novels by Stepehn King. I really love his novels. I am sure you are going to like them as well.

How accurate are English translation subtitles?
pcgamer replied to BritishGuy's topic in Translations (Theory & Practice)
I am from India with Hindi as my native language and I can tell you that most of the English Subtitles are not at all accurate. It's like the are trying to make fun of someone who doesn't understand Hindi. -
Whats your favorite song in a foreign language?
pcgamer replied to raytalks's topic in Language Learning
I like a lot of English songs, but the favorite ones are "Hey Jude" from The Beatles and some of the Backstreet Boys' songs. -
I don't think it's a scientific language. English, as we all know, is an international language. If you don' know how to speak or write English, you are in real trouble a you won't be able to communicate with people of other culture. So I would say it's more of n international language.

pcgamer replied to Azurix's topic in Language Learning
I was making a coffee one morning when learning French kind of struck my mind. I thought, hang on, I can do this. Besides, my brother is also learning French. So he motivated me to learn as well. -
There are so many languages that I want to learn. First up in my list would probably be Chinese and thereafter I would go for Spanish. I find Russian and Italian languages to be really fascinating. So, if I can, I will try to learn them too. French is giving me a hard time for the time being.
