Yes, I have noticed that. When you meet a foreigner, they will say 'Namste' instead of a 'hi' or 'hello. I think the main reason behind that s they are taught that we prefer to be greeted by 'namste'.

No, these phrases are not common at all. People will think you have gone mad if you start using these phrases. It was used in songs so often back in 1960s. Songs like "Haye tawajjum tera, dhup khil gayi raat main' are popular because of clever choice of Urdu words. We don't use Urdu in songs anymore.

No, it's not vanishing at all, not in Delhi at least. I utter that word so many times in a day. 'Namste uncle' and 'namaste auntie' is a norm.

Kritaghan means Ungrateful or thankless in English. Do you use this Hindi word anymore?
