Written languages like Egyptian hieroglyphs and Chinese develop from pictographs too you know! (OK, well not like these smileys, but same idea!) The only problems I face is that not all the smiley names appear before you click on them and I would have liked to see all the postings that I have done tagged in a way that I can see them first hand and not have to go back all the time to make sure that I did not respond to a thread before.
