  1. Really? I also noticed there is a broad use of German words in the manga and anime culture. As a teen I also was never aware of the English language containing so many German words.
  2. Why did you think that? Was there something I missed?
  3. Putting the things you wanna learn into some rhymes and then sing it a few times proved to be a good method for me too.
  4. Have no mobile phone or smartphone so I guess this will pass me by. But at least I have still snacks to eat.
  5. Switzerland is a very heterogeneous country. Not just when it comes to accents but also when it comes to laws f.e. That goes deep. One village can have one educational plan for schools and the next ones look already different.
  6. Take BWL's word Rechtsschutzversicherungsgesellschaften. Recht is a single word, Schutz too, Versicherung too, Gesellschaft too. You can easily put other words between it, before it or after it to make an even longer word than Rechtsschutzversicherungsgesellschaften.
  7. You see that the Word of the year is really something made by politicians.
  8. German, English, Latin, Swedish, French. Not all of them perfectly but still so far I can use them.
  9. Yeah, I think the problem here is that most of us have not heard most of the languages being spoken too often so it's all about taking a guess. I mean, how are you supposed the difference between two Asian languages? You can hear that they are Asian and locate them somehow but that's it. Still a cool game.
  10. I guess everyone has to find out that for himself. For some it's a language class, for others some software or speaking or reading or listening this language. Most of the time it will be some mix of all of that.
  11. Ich will hier auch meinen Beitrag leisten. Wahrscheinlich verbessert sich sogar mein Deutsch dadurch. Gute Idee, dieses Unterforum.
  12. Not quite... The correct answer was Sinhalese Final score: 350
  13. I think it is ok to get a kid used to another language before it goes to school but just a few words or phrases to get the atmosphere of the language.
  14. Wow, I would have ask myself what language that is and if any at all.
  15. Well, there just are some people who are so talented in something that they can learn pretty easy. You see that often from autistic people.
  16. I learned and learn alone most of the time. It used to work out and I can change the pace in that way it's the best for me.
  17. No, never thought of tha back then. Would have been fun. Nowadays I want one but only if it's a good looking Japanese girl..
  18. Not really. But I have to say that I only had good teachers so I learned a lot from them.
  19. Actually they just put an li on the end of every word. Or should I say wordli?
  20. Weeks, maybe months. That time is over but was some interesting experience.
  21. I was driving by the train when two girls came to me and asked if I could help them. They were from Mexico and wanted me to help them buying tickets. We drove by the train to the station and went to the ticket shop. The women there asked me where they want to go and so on. Then she asked me what language they speak. I answered: Mexican. Well, not quite funny. More embarassing How about you?
  22. i don't think you can learn a language this way very good but single words or phrases are surely something that#s good to learn with music if you hear particular songs again and again.
  23. Speaking. The time factor makes a big difference already. While reading and writing you have much more time to think about what you're doing and everything is visually in front of you. Speaking is much more "out of the blue".
