  1. It could be because they take their time to learn Englich and maybe they are also interested in the language.
  2. Being amongst Hispanics, who did not know English and neither did I know their laguage, that is what sparked me to start learning Spanish.
  3. My best motivator would be to be a great translator, and earn good money at being a great translator.
  4. Currently I am trying to learn Korean by watching their movies, it helps me out alot, but only learning how speak first, only the speaking and not the writing.
  5. If I had the time and money I would probably go back to school to learn a new language, it would be fun to go back to class again.
  6. Istarted learning spanish because I found myself in a situation where, I was sorrounded by hispanics, non of them knew English and neither did I know spanish , so I ws forced to learn spanish and tha is how I started learning spanish.
  7. Movies are very inspiring when it comes to learning a new language, they make it much easier and much fun to learn a new language, I would encourage anyone to use movies as a learning source.
  8. I once applied to work for an airline, I did and qualified for everthing untill I was asked if I could speak and read fluent Arabic, and because of that I was disqualified for the job.
  9. For some reason , I find that, it is much easier to learn English, once you master the alphabet and master how they are pronounced then you will have a much easier and fun time learning English.
  10. I would say Chinese, I just cant seem to understand it, from any logical point of view, I do not know why, but maybe I should try harder.
  11. I think for me, the best motivatoe for learning a new language would be movies, I find it much easier with movies , because I get to see the expression and the words in action at the same time which makes it much easier to remember.
  12. I believe it all depends on your location or the type of business or work that you do,and you sorroundings, because you could learn a languae that might not benefit you.
  13. I think they should the earlier the better, the children will get used to it and get advanced before they finish primary.

  15. I write in English and in Swahili very perfectly, but I also write in Spanish but am not that good at writting in Spanish.
  16. I have but it was only effective when I was falling asleep but later on deep into the sleep .I was aware that the tape was playing but I did not grasp much from it.

We once had a patient who up to now we do not know what language he spoke, we tried all kind of sign language , and we never understood what he was saying or what he wanted, he was in so much pain, we could only give him pain killers since we never got to know the source of his pain, because we did not understand his language.

I think that would be a difficult thing to know, since there are so many languages, each continent dooes not speak t he same language, and you will find that in most continents, they also have alot of countries, where you will find that each country speaks different languages in within themselves, so I do believe that it is going to be diificult to try and figure that one out.
  19. I would say the British accent , they just tend to pronounce words in a much proper way, ther Italian accent is also great, those are the two most accents that I do enjoy the most.
  20. Yes I do my mother tongue is maragoli, which is only spoken in my country.
  21. You are very right on that one, I took spanish, I was fluent in it, but since I do not apply it, I have lost all of it, I have too learn it all over again.
  22. I find them to be intresting,the British accent is great, the American accent is great too,I find the Austrilian accent kind of hard to understand, I do not know why I have a hard tiome understanding it, but I find all the English accents to be good, keeps your ears on guard.
  23. I would like to say that , it might not be the same to a certain level, but I do believe the baic sign language is universal, like counting and different common thing s like hospital restaurant, I would say that those are universal.
  24. Well thank you for the information, I have never used it, I am going to check it out, since I would love to begin learning Chinese,I hope it is as useful as you say it is.
  25. English is my first language and I grew up learning swahili as my second language.
