Can you please translate this sentence:

Wir wollen Euch danken für alle Gaben
und wollen euch immer noch lieber haben.

We would like to thank you for all the gifts and are willing to be even more fond of you.

 

However, the second part of the sentence is not easy to translate. Maybe someone can translate it better. :=)

I'd say for the second part maybe something like "we'd like you to stay longer"..but maybe I am wrong

That's interesting, but after all I think it does not have anything to do with staying longer at some place..but maybe I am wrong. I am not very familiar with this religious kind of texts.
