  1. I am very familiar with learning languages by movies. One of my old Spanish teachers use to have us learn Spanish by watching movies. Although learning Spanish by watching movies is a easier way to learn but I myself do not prefer to learn this way.
  2. Learning English is such an easy language to learn. I think English is so easy to learn because it is integrated into a lot of cultures. Compared to my culture where we speak little to no Chinese.
  3. I think people nowadays don't speak as well for several reasons. I believe people don't speak well because they are so used to slang. Most people aren't use to spelling proper while on a computer.
  4. Chinese is very useful in my life. A lot of Anime I watch contain a lot of Chinese in it. I watch various Anime shows that speak in Chinese and then it is dubbed into English. It would be so helpful it I actually knew Chinese.
  5. I always wonder how foreign countries learned English. I wondered just how difficult it was for people of different language, to learn my Native language. Seeing as how it is so difficult for us to learn new languages.
  6. I don't believe you can learn any language in 5 minutes. Although the attachment you have provided us with is very helpful. I learned so new words and I saved it on my computer.
  7. I think the best way to increase reading speed is to read. I think practice makes perfect. I do not expect anyone trying to increase their reading speed, to read a whole book in one day. I expect a slow progressive start. I think you should start slow and work your way up. You should start by reading smaller articles and passages. Once you have developed an idea of your ideal speed, you should start reading thoroughly.
  8. When it comes to online tutorials I think you have to pick what helps you get better. There are so many programs that will claim they can help you. It is up to yourself to pick a program that will help you learn to speak the language you are studying. I suggest doing research before using an online tutorial.
  9. Yes, I honestly use all the sections of this site. There are so many helpful and very productive conversations going on all over this site. I love the idea of a language forum. It lets you communicate with other foregin speaking people.
  10. I like France's people's accents. You know how you always see movies and the people of France are always so polite. The people of France also have such good grammar. France is one of the many places I want to visit.
  11. That's an awesome find, related to learning new languages. I remember in middle school I use to listen to music in class frequently. Sometimes I would wonder just how I finished any work while listening to music. I considered the music as a distraction. I understand now it could be related to rhythmic skills.
  12. I don't know sign language myself, but I have heard that it is very easy to learn. Sign Language seems like an easy language to learn with me as well. I honestly think you could learn how to communicate using sign language by studying using online resources.
  13. The hardest language I have ever tried to learn is Chinese. Chinese is so difficult for me to learn because of how different it is from English. The letters are no where near similar to English.
  14. I started learning my second language in middle school. Middle school is the average age someone will learn to speak another language. I still study Spanish to this day, just not as frequent. I believe in the next two years I will become a fluent Spanish speaker.
  15. I prefer taking classes to learn a new language. When self learning there is always risk for failure. When you have someone teaching you, you're more likely to gain the help you need. There's nothing better than learning a language first hand.
  16. Great grammar is very important to me. Although grammar is not important for most people. I suggest learning proper grammar to everyone. Someday in your life you will have to learn proper grammar, it is essential for communication. Grammar will not only benefit your writing, but it will benefit your communication skills.
  17. The next language I would like to learn is German. I would like to learn German because it is so closely related to Spanish. I would also like to learn German because it would make me bilingual. Being versatile in your languages will give you an edge over the competition. It's scientifically proven that bilingual people are less likely to suffer dementia later in life.
  18. In my opinion I think reading a foreign language is the most difficult. When learning a new language the hardest part is comprehending. I never have problems with speaking a foreign language because you only speak what you know, or learn.
