      Hello!

I need help; I wanted to translate sentence (if you can call it so) into different languages and later use it on a present for my friend's birthday. So, the question is: how would "lies and slander!" sound in your mother tongue/language you know? Thank you so much in advance!

      Polish: Kłamstwa i pomówienia! (original)

      English: Lies and slander!

      German: Lügen und Verleumdungen!

      Spanish: ¡Mentiras y falsedades!

      Italian: Menzogne e diffamazioni!

      Latin: Mendacia et crimina falsa!

      Cayuga language: Sheyehsahdahnǫh!

I'm still learning Japanese so I had to look slander up on a dictionary, haha. Anyone more fluent is free to correct me:

嘘と讒誣 (うそとざんぶ - uso to zanbu)

      PS:

Hope you don't mind me hijacking your post, takibari! I just wanted to clarify that Cebuano is a Philippine language rather than a dialect. The Bisaya language has a lot of dialects - the major of which are these four: Boholano and Southern Kana, Northern Kana, Mindanao Cebuano, and Davaoeño - just like Tagalog has Batangas Tagalog (Batangeño), Bulacan Tagalog, etc. :)

hmm. there's no one-word translation of the word 'slander' in Filipino/Tagalog

      Lies - Kasinungalingan

      And - At

      Slander - Siraan ng Puri

Slander can also be called "paninirang-puri", right? So it can also be translated as "kasinungalingan at paninirang-puri".

Sorry for bumping this thread, I just noticed there's no Greek translation.

Greek: Ψέματα και συκοφαντία! (Latinized: Psemata ke sikofantia)

      Hi,

I just noticed that there is no translation in Arabic or French, and luckily I know them very well :)

      Arabic : الأكاذيب والافتراءات

French : Mensonges et de calomnies

I hope I helped you with what I know :) good luck

      Sorry for the bump:

      Romanian: Minciuni si calomnii!

      Moldavian: Minciuni si calomnii!

Moldavia used to be part of Romania, reason why we share the same language.

      In my order:

      Polish: Kłamstwa i pomówienia!
      Dutch: Leugens en laster!
      English: Lies and slander!
Japanese: 嘘と誹謗! (うそとひぼう) (Uso to hibou)
      German: Lügen und Verleumdungen!

I only don't know Spanish as decently enough to provide an accurate translation though.
Most of these languages have already been translated any way.

But very interesting words to use on a birthday. :P

      Indonesian: Kebohongan dan fitnah!

Was gonna translate it to a few more languages but I see you've all got them covered. Bless that English translation by the way, I had no idea what 'Kłamstwa i pomówienia' meant.
