  2. I believe this is so effective. I am a songwriter and this work of mine has definitely improved my English. It started as a hobby now I'm doing it for a living.

  5. I think this is how the direction goes in Thailand too. The Japanese however, reads from right to left on a book. They start from the end of it that's what I mean which is fascinating.

  7. I think it's more fun when you get to meet more people with it. At the same time learn their culture. This is why I continue learning new languages. It's my love for adventure.
  8. It all started when I learned about Dr. Jose Rizal being a genius and knowing more than 10 languages. I thought it was really cool. So I encouraged myself to study.
  9. My mother language is definitely way easier than my second language because I grew up with it. But either way, I'm also not having a hard time dealing with my 2nd language. They are all just fine to me.
  10. I love Japanese songs even though I can't understand them. Their melodies speak volume and that's what usually catches my attention. Music is indeed a universal language.

  12. I will definitely do it for love. My boyfriend and I are interracial couples and I'm just glad we both understand each other because I know his language very well. Love is the real deal if you want to learn a new language. :-)
  13. Many times. But then I always find a way to also encourage myself so I get back on track. I'm still on my way to being a linguist!

  17. I have learned the art of skimming and browsing really fast and at the same time really understanding the words that I was reading. It's a skill that could take some practice. But it's worth it. Saves me time.
  18. Yes and I am very careful when I do that so my comprehension is tight. Focus is a must. Without it, absorption wouldn't even be possible.
  19. I love dictionaries. They are my favorite books in the world! I always have on in my purse. Just the pocket ones though.
  20. It depends on how old your baby is. Their mind is like a sponge they can easily pick up effortlessly though whatever you teach them anyway. That is actually the fun part of raising a child!
  21. Yes you can learn with pictures. I have learned some of the words in foreign languages through flash cards! This is effective.
  22. Audio tapes definitely helps. I am an auditory learner so this very much helps me learn quick. I appreciate reading too but nothing like I can hear the actual words being spoken.
  23. It's important to really make a full effort on learning a new language to communicate with someone. You can also use hand gestures if really there are things that are hard to communicate with words. After all, actions speak louder than words.
  24. I learn fast when with music. But I read a lot and each time I encounter a new one, I look it up and then use it as frequent as possible. That's how I manage this.
