How to run the game with the word generator

1. Pick a host who doesn’t play this round (or use the app to deal cards).
2. The host generates a word and secretly chooses the imposter — for example by folding paper slips.
3. Everyone except the imposter gets the word. The imposter gets nothing, the category, or the hint word.
4. Players give one-word clues in turn, discuss, and vote. The imposter can win by guessing the word.

What makes a good imposter game word?

• Everyone knows it — a word nobody recognises ruins the round for the whole group.
• Lots of possible clues — “beach” (sand, towel, waves, sunscreen…) is better than “stapler”.
• Not given away by one clue — avoid words with a single famous feature everyone will say.
• Right for the group — use Animals, Food, and Fantasy for kids; Countries and Landmarks for travel lovers.
