How to embed a tool

1. Open the tool's page and scroll to Put this tool on your website (the link under each tool jumps there).
2. Click Copy embed code.
3. Paste the code into your page where the tool should appear. In WordPress, use a Custom HTML block; most other site builders have an “HTML” or “embed code” block.

The code has three parts: the tool itself (an iframe), the credit line under it, and one line of script that makes the frame exactly as tall as the tool, also on phones. For the Morse Code Translator it looks like this:

The tool always fills the width of its column and works on phones. If your site does not allow scripts, the first two parts are enough: the tool then keeps the height after height= (change the number to make it taller or shorter) and scrolls inside its frame when it needs more room.

The rules

• Free for any website, personal or commercial, including school and club sites.
• Keep the credit line under the tool, with its link to the tool's page. You may style it to fit your site. If your site marks outgoing links, you may add rel="nofollow" to it.
• Don't hide or cover the small “by Linguaholic” bar inside the tool.
• Don't charge people for using the embedded tool, and don't present it as your own.
• Embed, don't copy: use the code as given. Copying our files or code to your own server is not covered.
• We keep improving the tools, so an embedded tool can change. They are provided as they are, without any guarantee, and we may stop an embed on sites that misuse it.

Privacy: what the embedded tool does

The embedded tool shows no ads, sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies: its fonts and files come from linguaholic.com. What visitors type stays in their browser. Like any web page, the tool is loaded from our server. To know where it is used, we count how often each tool is loaded on each website, by the website's name only; nothing about the visitor is recorded. Details are in our privacy policy.
