Flexible hex input
When decoding, groups can be separated by spaces or commas, and common 0x or \x prefixes are handled automatically. A single unbroken even-length string (like 48656C6C6F) is split into byte pairs for you. Invalid input is flagged rather than producing garbled output.
What is hexadecimal?
Hexadecimal uses sixteen symbols: the digits 0–9 and the letters A–F (where A=10 up to F=15). Each character’s ASCII or Unicode code point is written in hex — for example the letter H is code 72, which is 48 in hex. Two hex digits cover one byte (0–255), which is why hex is popular in programming, color codes, and debugging.
