What is a case converter?

A case converter changes the capitalisation of your text without you having to retype it. Paste any text and switch it instantly to UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, and more β€” then copy the result.

The case options

  • UPPERCASE β€” every letter capitalised (SHOUTING).
  • lowercase β€” every letter small.
  • Title Case β€” the first letter of every word capitalised, the rest lowercase.
  • Sentence case β€” the first letter of each sentence capitalised, like normal writing.
  • Capitalized Case β€” first letter of each word capitalised, other letters left as typed (keeps acronyms like NASA).
  • aLtErNaTiNg and InVeRsE β€” fun, alternating or swapped capitalisation for memes and social posts.

Uppercase to lowercase (and back)

A very common need is turning text typed in all caps back into normal text. Paste it in and click lowercase, or use Sentence case to restore natural capitalisation. To go the other way, click UPPERCASE.

When a case converter helps

It is handy for fixing text pasted from a PDF or email, formatting headings and titles, preparing social media captions, cleaning up spreadsheet data, and rescuing a message you accidentally typed with Caps Lock on.

Is my text private?

Yes. The case converter runs entirely in your browser β€” nothing is uploaded or stored, and it works offline.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert text to a different case?
Type or paste your text, then click a case button β€” UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, Capitalized, aLtErNaTiNg, or InVeRsE. The result updates instantly and you can copy it with one click.
What is the difference between Title Case and Capitalized Case?
Title Case capitalises the first letter of every word and lowercases the rest (Hello There World). Capitalized Case only capitalises the first letter of each word and leaves the other letters as you typed them, which preserves acronyms like NASA.
What is Sentence case?
Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence and lowercases the rest, like normal prose. It capitalises after every period, question mark, or exclamation mark.
How do I change uppercase to lowercase (or the reverse)?
Paste your text and click 'lowercase' to make everything lowercase, or 'UPPERCASE' to make it all capitals. It works on any length of text at once.
Is my text private?
Yes. The case converter runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored, and it works offline.
