  1. Hi there and welcome to Linguaholic.com. Hope you had a great Christmas and I wish you all the best for the new year! See you in the threads!
  2. Hi there Just got the message from Blaveloper. I am going to create such a section after Christmas. Hope that is ok for you. regards Lingua
  3. Hi Rachel I am not studying Hebrew, but I am studying Chinese. So, in terms of effort, I guess I understand what you are talking about. No matter what your age is, I am pretty sure you can still learn that language. I studied Sinology (Chinese Studies) at University, and we had a 70 year old woman that was studying with us. She was still able to learn Chinese at the age of 70. If you have passion for what you are doing, you can do it. That is my opinion. And I am pretty sure you are not even near 70 years old
  4. 'präsentieren' is better. or you could say 'Ich möchte die ökonomischen Aspekte dieses Projekts erläutern' or 'Ich möchte die ökonomischen Aspekte dieses Projekts (anhand von Beispielen) illustrieren.
  5. Dear All I would like to present you a Hip Hop track in Swiss German. I produced the beat for the Rapper Raboose from St.Gallen. Hope you all like it!
  6. Actually the second 'möchte' is also not mandatory. It would be possible also to omit it. But in my opinion in this case it sounds more elegant to repeat it. In the case of 'Ich' as in the sentence where you used it twice, it really sounds weird if you do so. As for the 'im Detail', it is possible in some contexts, but I would say that often it would be used in a more formal sentence (context) and it makes more sense to use it together with some nouns than others (can't think of a specific rule though.). Let me give you an example where 'im Detail' would make more sense: You could say that you would like to look at something in more detail for instance: Ich möchte mir deine Arbeit im Detail anschauen. It really depends on the context and the noun you are specifying with the phrase 'im Detail'.
  7. The first sentence is correct. However, you could omit the second 'ich' to make the sentence even more elegant. So you could say: Ich heisse Verdiana und komme aus Italien. Actually, the same holds true for the second sentence. You don't need that second 'Îch', as the subject of the sentence is still the same (you!). So just say: ich bin 22 Jahre alt und habe Deutsch für 2 Jahre an der Universität studiert. Instead of Ich wollte mein Deutsch verbessern, you should say Ich 'möchte' mein Deutsch verbessern, as you should use a modal verb in the present tense here. The full sentence should be like: Ich möchte mein Deutsch verbessern und möchte es vor allem nicht vergessen! Oh, as for the second sentence. The thing in parentheses should be changed into (23 im Dezember). So you should replace the preposition am with 'in'. As for the stuff in parentheses in the first sentence, it sounds a little bit weird. It is grammatically correct, but a native speaker wouldn't say (Sardinien im Detail). You could simply put (Sardinien). That would be more natural. Regards L

  15. the overall pronunciation is pretty good, but as Sailor Cat pointed out, some parts are pretty hard to understand. Some words are even spelled wrong. Still, with some more practise, you will be fine!
  16. Triffst du Hans heute Abend? Yes, you can say that. He hung the picture on the wall Er hängte das Bild an der Wand auf. Excuse me, can YOU help me, Frau Mueller? 17. Thanks a lot for those great answers, Sailor Cat!
  18. then I would just say 他在公共汽车前面。 the 里 is definitely wrong semantically here, also syntactically I would say as it doesn't make any sense to have a preposition at this place in the sentence.
  19. I wouldn't use any of these three sentences, to be honest. Could you provide a translation of what you would like to get across for those three sentences. I might be able to provide some solutions then.
