  1. I would like to have a look at it, but I can't access the link. Maybe someone else who is able to access the link could upload this as a picture here in the forum? I am in China and all the Google Services are blocked, so I can't access it at the moment
  2. Hi there I might be interested in your 'services' :=) My native tongue is actually German, but I have been speaking French for about 15 years. Moreover, in my city we speak French and German. So I think I can help you with that without any problem. I am in China at the moment and I have been studying Chinese for many years as well. However, I am sure you would be able to teach me some upper-intermediate Chinese. Best wishes from 杭州 马塞尔
  3. Welcome Okazim! If you have any questions about Chinese, please let me know!
  4. Car idioms Let me yet add some more car related idioms. Or we could also call these Driving Idioms. I found this little story here on the internet, which is connecting several car idioms / Driving idioms in a really neat way. John walked into the pub and then sat down, “Oh my God, she is driving me up the wall" he said. “What’s wrong?” asked Jessica. “My boss asked me to work late, again. Down the road, I think I’m going to have to quit,” he said. “You should. I was actually just about to hit the road ,” she said as she stood up. “Oh no, please, have one for the road,” begged John, “I had to carpool with my neighbor today, I need a beer after that.” Jessica sat down, “OK then, one more for the road.”
  5. so what would you say for these kind of shoes (see picture). Just Tenis?
  6. I would go with French. It is a beautiful language, it has great literature and as your working colleague is French, you have lots of opportunities to speak it. Moreover, if you are a guy, to know French is great, as girls are absolutely are in love with it ^ (I am just mentioning this as you said that you would possibly also like to learn a language to show off a little bit haha).
  7. good question. Since Xi Jinping came to power, the firewall is actually 'stronger' than ever. So lots of websites are completely blocked. Some forums might be still accessible. I have been lucky with linguaholic.com so far, It does work without VPN. I have been using VPN for many other websites though: Facebook, Gmail, and so on..... If you have any specific websites for me to check, please let me know. So I will test the access for you. Got to go know. Let's talk later. Best, Lingua
  8. Hi Azren. So nice to have you here! Nothing better for me than seeing another polyglot joining linguaholic.com How do you feel about learning Mandarin? I have been studying Mandarin for many years, but I still feel like there are so many things I don't know or that I can't understand properly. At this very moment I am near Ningbo, China with my Chinese friends. We went on a little trip to 舟山. We speak Mandarin all the time, so this really helps mi to 提高我的中文水平。:=. I am looking forward to see you in the threads. Have a great day. regards Lingua

  21. The second one is correct. The first one is wrong. The adverb follows the adjective..is is not placed after the noun, therefore the second one is correct. regards Lingua
  22. There will never be a chat feature here on linguaholic, com, that's for sure..as for the reasons Blaveloper already pointed out. It just does not make sense to integrate a chat function in this kind of forum. I guess it is easy enough to get in contact with someone by writing a PM and then just quickly exchange contacts (skype, whatsapp, wechat, whatever).
