I thought we could do a thread where everyone adds one sentence to the story and we'll see how it goes...so add whatever you want!

Here's the first sentence, which I will start in the traditional manner of fairytales:

Once upon a time there was a princess named Alberta Lee.

(ok, so next people can add where she lived, about her family, what she looks like, etc. whatever you want!)

Posted

She lived in a beautiful castle on the top of a mountain, but dangerous days were about to come.

And trained it as if it was a puppy. After being trained like a house pet, the tiger learned to follow Alberta around the castle. One day, Alberta ventured at the edge of the castle, near the dark forests of doom, curious to know what is scary about the forests.

Posted

Her tiger joined her on the quest, eager to explore the world with Alberta. Together they walked deep into the forest, but before long they lost track of time.

Posted

The two turned around and Alberta's blood turned cold. In front of her was an eldritch abomination so loathsome and hideous that her tiger couldn't bear to look at it and ran away, leaving Alberta to fend for herself.

Posted

Alberta quickly picked up two pieces of wood, set them on fire by passing them through the fireplace and...

Posted

...as the flames shot up, lighting the forest, as it was twilight now.  Alberta could hear roaring.  She turned to see that it was her tiger!  He had found his courage again, and returned to do battle with the eldritch abomination...

Posted

And the abomination did say something...

"That is the most hideous dress I've ever seen... Give me one good reason I shouldn't eat you for your crimes against fashion!"

Posted

The creature of great horror laughed at her question, but his laugh did not sound normal. It sounded as if there were hints of screaming in his timbre, like there were multiple souls aching to be set free from his belly.

Posted

And he ran, screaming. Not from a shadow figure chasing him down the hall, but from his own thoughts. it was then he realized it was his own mind that was his greatest enemy. The one inescapable adversary.

As Alberta watched the Tiger race off she suddenly remembered the open window at the far end of the hallway. The memory of her cat which had plunged to death from the same window flashed in the back of her mind. . .

Posted

She opened the window and as the animal approached she jump aiming to land on the big lake below the window...  :karate:

Posted

and bounces back up to the window from where she had jumped off...

Posted

Totally scared she manages to grab a bird that was flying by...  :ninja:
