  1. Very interesting and great post. It is nice to get even more views on different languages you don't hear every day. It actually sounds great in my opinion.
  2. When I learn a new language, I never take the cultural background into consideration. I am usually just trying to learn the new language to my best ability, so I don't really think about it much. I think for future reference, I should take things such as a language's background into consideration.
  3. When you are learning a new language, do you ever take in consideration the history behind a language?
  4. I would consider English the easiest language to learn. I mean I have never heard of anyone having problems with learning English. It is so easy to learn that a baby could do it. We also have easy to pronounce words and terms which add to the simpleness.
  5. It is very great that Linguaholic is on Facebook. It will definitely be helping this forum positively. I mean you now have great odds of getting a lot of exposure on your forum.
  6. The most important aid to me, when learning a new language is informative videos. They are really helpful, because they keep you attentive while teaching you something new as well. Without these videos I might be behind in my studies honestly.

  8. I think the thing I like most about language learning videos, are how entertaining they are. I love being entertained by videos, as I watch them. I think being entertained by a video, makes a big difference in whether or not you will actually watch the video. I mean who can watch a video they do not enjoy watching?
  9. Learning a new language is not a hobbie of mine, but it is something I enjoy doing. The only reason it is not a hobbie for me, is because I don't do it as often as I should, or as often as I could.
  10. There are some people in this world, who have learned multiple languages. Do you think you could be one of those people, or do you believe you don't have the brain capacity for it?
  11. The only language I can recognize that I don't know is Chinese or Japanese.
  12. This is interesting, because I was never aware of extinct languages. This is something that most people would never even know about, nor would they question it.
  13. I have never heard about dreaming in a language. I can't really see myself dreaming in another language, especially if I am not fluent in that language yet. This is definitely something I would want to experience some day.
  14. I think overall more countries have become more English Friendly. I mean English is becoming the language of the world, as most people around the word all speak English. I think it will become essential to actually learn English one day.
  15. This is a great thread. Although I have never really been accustomed to hearing something like this, it is still great to see the similarities of both. Usually if I don't know a language I would say it is foreign to me or something like that, I have never heard Greek to you though lol.
  16. I agree, that Spanish, French and Italian are all romantic languages. I just think French is the most romantic out of the three.
  17. I have never actually knew someone who though English was not important. I mean there are so many reasons that English is important. I just would not understand if someone said that.
  18. I don't use short cuts when chatting. I may abbreviate some words, but I would never mix letters and numbers. That also irritates me as well.
  19. I like this app for your device, it is called Ruzzle. It was very fun to play, because you can easily compete with your friends. You also would play people online, which was really the only way to play. You would always have somebody to play though.
  20. That is a cool software to have around if needed. I can't see myself using such a software for anything important though lol.
  21. I don't usually use sites that I cannot understand. Although I have used some of these sites before. Usually when I use them Google translator is right there to translate my way through it.
  22. You have to continue to study and make sure you are on top of your work ensuring you stay crisp!
  23. How hard would you rate learning a new language? In my opinion learning a new language is pretty difficult.
  24. Reading languages, when you don't know them is the hardest part. I mean it is almost impossible to read something you can not interpret.
  25. I seek a foreign language, because I would like to learn a language other than my native one before I die. I mean it is one of those things on your bucket list that would actually be beneficial to yourself
